Water District Rates:
As of 16 May 2023
The District is well aware of our hotter summers, and also how all of us work to maintain our properties for beauty as well as safety. At the same time we’re vigorously “encouraged” by the state to conserve. (The eastern half of our state is facing very serious water usage issues, and that brings the spotlight closer to usage statewide.)
To that end, the commissioners approved the addition of a fourth tier of billing for water usage. Please note that this is NOT a billing increase – rates have NOT changed. If you water minimally or conservatively, you may never notice an increase in your summer water bill. But meanwhile, I encourage you to keep a closer eye on your billing over the next few months and to consider where and how you might modify your water usage.
The billing structure is outlined here, with only the last line, starting at 1801 cubic feet, being the NEW addition:
¾ “ Meter 1” Meter
- Base Rate – 0 cubic feet $35.00 $49.50
- 0-600 cubic feet per 100 cubic foot $2.95 $2.95
- 601-1200 cubic feet per 100 cubic foot $3.10 $3.10
- 1201-1800 cubic feet per 100 cubic foot $3.75 $3.75
- 1801-99999 cubic feet per 100 cubic foot $4.50 $4.50
As always, if you have concerns or comments, please feel free to contact any one of us commissioners, and have a great summer!
