East Gig Harbor Water District
In the early days when most homes in East Gig Harbor were at best vacation cottages, the water system expanded when new neighbors would shake hands and simply tap into an already existing line. Given this scenario, it’s easy to imagine how complicated our water system became.
In 2004, the East Gig Harbor Association worked to create a local improvement district and purchase the water system from the private owner. The East Gig Harbor Water district was formed. Since then, numerous improvements have been made, resulting in a reliable and safe water supply.
The East Gig Harbor Association and the East Gig Harbor Water District are two separate entities. Although we serve the same general area, members of the association and customer-owners of the water system are not necessarily one and the same.
