The Virginia V will spend the weekend at the Tides Dock, with other wooden boats. She is providing a couple of cruises aboard and tours. She is one of the last of the "mosquito fleet" vessels and is making the rounds in Puget Sound in honor of our country's 250th anniversary.

She is leaving Tacoma on a cruise to Gig Harbor at 3:30, arriving here about 5. She will be met before arrival by the Porpoise, the replica of the captain's gig, jointly managed by the Harbor History Museum and the Gig Harbor Boat Shop.

She is a beautiful sight to behold. For those who have not been aboard or cruised on her, it is an experience you should take advantage of. You can Google her name or the Wooden Boat Show or Gig Harbor Now for details.

And BTW, we had a great Annual Meeting last night.

Respectfully,

Carole Holmaas
