The City of Gig Harbor is currently engaged in evaluating options for the future of the former Masonic Lodge at the Crescent Creek Park. As part of this process, the Historical Preservation Commission will be holding a meeting on November 10 to discuss potential preservation, remodeling or demolition of the building.
A group of advocates dedicated to the preservation or remodeling of the lodge as a Community Meeting Space is seeking as much community support as possible. We encourage residents to write letters to the City, attend the upcoming meeting, and consider speaking during the session to express their views.
Upcoming Events
• Flash Mob Photo Gathering: Community members are urged to participate in a group photo in front of the building at the Park. This is scheduled for Sunday, November 9 at noon. Please see the attached flyer.
• Historical Preservation Commission Meeting: The meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 10, starting at 5:30 PM at the Civic Center.
