You may have already received this, but just in case, NWS has issued a flood advisory for Pierce County: The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flooding Advisory for the area in effect until 4pm Wednesday, 11/13/2024. Minor coastal flooding possible. Inundation of 2 to 2.5 feet above ground level is possible along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas. Minor coastal flooding due to tidal overflow is expected around high tide. High tide will occur around 2 PM PST Wednesday. This may lead to flooding of parking lots, parks, and roads, with only isolated road closures expected. Winds and waves are not expected to cause additional flooding impacts. Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: • If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. • Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. • Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
